1 cup of whole wheat grains

5 cups of water

1 Tbsp of anis seeds

Rosewater (mawared)

Orange blossom water (mazaher)

Sugar to taste

Walnut, pine nuts and raisins to decorate

Preparation steps:

  1. Wash the wheat thoroughly under the water then drain
  2. Put the wheat in a slow cooker and add the water. Cook over medium fire for 2 hours
  3. When the water starts boiling, add the anis seeds and reduce the fire
  4. Cook for 10 more minutes
  5. Serve the wheat while hot, add sugar, rosewater and orange blossom water according to taste
  6. Decorate with nuts and raisins
