The Food Heritage Foundation (FHF) in partnership with the Environment and Sustainable Development Unit (ESDU) and the International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) established the community kitchens in Lebanese villages hosting Syrian refugees like Miniara – Akkar and Khiara – West Bekaa at the aim of elevating food insecurity of vulnerable populations.

The Food Heritage Foundation received the Community Engagement Innovation Award for 2021 from the University of Guelph’s Arrell Food Institute (AFI) award program.
The Food Heritage Foundation (FHF) was among 16 other initiatives that were recognized by the Food Tank (16 Initiatives Redefining Food and Agriculture Across the Middle East).
Ardi Ardak National Food Security initiative was highlighted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), as Lebanon’s best enabling agricultural innovation system for rural women and youth during the COVID-19 pandemic.
