Palestinian Cooking Day

The Food Heritage Foundation is organizing a “Palestinian Cooking Day” event in collaboration with the Women Program Association in Bourj Al Barajneh.

Join us in Zico House on Thursday April 30 at 6 pm to taste fine Palestinian delicacies and celebrate Palestinian culinary traditions by supporting women cooks from Bourj Al Barajneh.

A special salutation to the Lebanese Red Cross efforts will be made by sharing this feast with the Red Cross center in Spears.

This event is supported by Majid Al Futtaim Properties.

The Food Heritage Foundation at MAD – Culinary Festival in Montpellier, France

Meet us in MAD – Festival culinaire in Montpellier from March 27 – 29, 2015, where we will be talking about the dairy products on darb el karam food heritage trail in West Bekaa.

This participation is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Zahle (CCIAZ), in the framework of LACTIMED project.

MAD – Festival culinaire is the only event in France highlighting Mediterranean cuisine, and gathering famous chefs and nutritionists from around the Mediterranean region.

Winter Farmers’ Market in AUB

The Food Heritage Foundation, in collaboration with the Environment and Sustainable Development Unit ESDU is organizing a “Winter Souk” Farmers’ Market on Thursday February 26, 2015 in the courtyard the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences – AUB from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The market will present around 20 producers from different Lebanese regions who will propose a variety of fresh vegetables and fruits, traditional food and pastries, and other local products.  Organic fruits and vegetables will also be provided by the Healthy Basket. The latest nutrition tips and advice will be given out at our nutrition booth in partnership with AUB Nutrition Society.

Petits Vins – Wine Tasting event

On Friday December 19, 2014 the Food Heritage Foundation organized a wine tasting event which hosted small wine and arak producers coming from West and Central Bekaa, Shouf and Mount Lebanon. Wine lovers and friends of the foundation came to try different kinds of wine in a festive mood. Traditional munchies were served by the foundation’s kitchen “Akleh“.

This quarterly event is line with the Food Heritage Foundation’s aim to promote small spirits producers.
