Volunteers from @key.sixteen visited @ecokhalleh a

Volunteers from @key.sixteen visited @ecokhalleh and experienced the farm activities. They also participated in a food preserving session and prepared pickles, keshek, and zaatar mixture.

@key.sixteen and the Food Heritage Foundation collaborated together through the socially engaged mouneh products initiative "@foodnroots" to launch the “Manoushe box” in an event held on 12 October in Beit el Deir in Deir el Qamar. Throughout the event, the partners introduced the guests to their work and initiatives and to the Manoushe Box collaboration and its social impact. A live cooking session in the presence of Barbara Massaad happened during the event. After the event 400 Manoushe were baked and distributed to families in need through @bassmalb .

We are proud to announce that the Food Heritage Foundation has won the Arrell Global Food Innovation Award 2021 for the Community category.

#FHF was recognized for this award for its uses of indigenous culinary knowledge as a tool for improving the food system and building healthy communities.

FHF model is both a driver of economic development and an example of sustainable food solutions.

The University of Guelph @arrellfoodinstitute award program, which began in 2018 and is judged by an international adjudication committee, recognizes those who make exceptional efforts to create more equitable, suitable, efficient, and nutritious food systems.
